Training with SILC

SILC is committed to developing a trained professional workforce and offers all employees a individualised training pathway allowing employees to reach their fullest potential.

We offer

• Comprehensive Orientation
• Hands on training alongside senior staff with the people you will be supporting. (this continues to occur no matter how long you have worked for SILC. Each time you get to work with someone new there is an initial period of training that supports you to understand how each person chooses to be supported).
• Introductory Training which forms SILC Level 1 Enterprise Certificate but also allows you to achieve the National Certificate in Community Support - Level 2, Foundation Skills.
• Ongoing access to another 3 Levels of internal training and certification.
• Ongoing access to national qualifications - currently to NZQA Level 4.
• Opportunities for Leadership Training, for people who demonstrate a desire to aspire to leadership roles.
